tennis
Back from a week of absence, having fianlly seen The Niece (Anna) in person. By golly, she's fat. She has cheeks like you wouldn't believe, Monkey boy has never had cheeks like that. Also, cute blue eyes. While I was there, she learned to turn from her back on her stomach and vice-versa, and hatched (I'm pretty sure that's not the right word, but I can't be arsed to look it up in the dictionary, sorry) her first tooth.

As you can plainly see, noone would mistake me for a great photographer. And while we're on the subject of babies, the Fed announced that he's going to be a father this summer (which, I'm pretty sure, all of you already know). I remember the tennis fandom being all atwitter over Mirka's supposed pregnancy about exactly a year ago. Hair has been pulled and doom has been proclaimed then. I'm not sure what meaningful thing I'm supposed to say here now, except that we probably should start saying our farewells to the Fed while there's still time. On the other hand, maybe the necessity to part with the "Me first" mentality and start thinking about someone else for a change - and that wasn't meant as a knock on Roger, pretty much all athletes in individual sports are like that - maybe that will serve as a right change of perspective to shake him up? Hell if I know, and I don't particularly care either way to be honest, but a child being born into this world has to be a good thing regardless, right?

Moving on, I did manage to watch two episodes of Lost that week. Yeah, I think at the rate I'm going, the show will be long finished before I manage to catch up, but I persevere.

In Emirates today: )

I also started with the 3rd season of Lost. I felt kinda tentative in the beginning, because y'know, Jack Kate and Sawyer got kidnapped together, and that's a recipe for disaster, as far as I'm conserned. There will be no escaping the Triangle. The first episodes sure confirmed my worries.

3.1 - A Tale Of Two Cities )
3.2 - Glass Ballerina )

Tennis today )

In real life events, my mother-in-law is down with pneumonia, and sister dearest kindly found the time to send me a photo of my niece at last, and she is fat and purty (the niece, I mean).

</div>I'm still trying to clean up my time to wach the 3rd season of Lost. At this rate, the show will have run out before I manage to catch up, and that would suck. I did have a pretty graphic dream yesterday, of a steamy threesome with Shannon and Christian Shepard (gah!), and I didn't know whether to laugh or be horrified when I woke up. I kinda like the curmudgeonly old goat, mostly becausse he's so relentlessly mean to our Fearless Leader, but to have sex with him? Ew. Ew, ew, ew. Why couldn't it have been Sayeed instead? Or Mr. Echo? And what does that say about my subconscious? I don't think I want to know.
