I know I'm late, but Monkey boy is sick and I have helluva lot of work so sue me.

4th round recap is here for you to read and comment. Please?

Now something for the Mango Shirt Detractors )
As for Squarekilt's Amazing Ugly Photo Power, it would be a crime to let this one go:

Also, there are a couple of particular portraits drom the last clay season under the cut. Not for the faint of heart - and I mean it.

prepare to be scarred for life )
Now, if you didn't want to claw your eyes raw, you're stronger person than I. To forget those horrors, I'd strongly recommend to go and see Nole's Speed Lessons

My particular favourite is "The return"

15th-Feb-2009 08:43 pm - Today's tennis and Firefly
tennis
I was down with a particularly vile brand of flu the last week - snotty, coughing, feverish, sore and with colossal headaches every other day. So, just couldn't find the oomph to post anything about Rotterdam, or indeed anything at all. I watched Nadal scrape and claw his way through the draw, avoided Murray when humanly possible. Watched Firefly meanwhile, which I promised to  and myself to do a while ago. Read Gene Wolfe's Knignt. Grinded away at German conjugations.

Today though, matches were finished relatively early, and I'm feeling better, so here goes.

Murray d. Nadal )

Mauresmo d. Dementieva )

Now, to the Internet-worshipped cult hit that is Firefly

I liked the movie better )
Now in personal news, mom's new medication went over very well - blood parameters all improved (haemoglobin is almost norm) and she got rid at last of the weakness and anemia that were torturing her since spring. I almost danced around the room when she called me with the news. And she resumed working, which is no small feat with her condition. And they baptized my niece yesterday. She is now officially Anna, and she can sit up already! I can't beliveve that I've not seen her yet.

markos

I'm sleep-deprived and a lil'bit drunk, so instead of the recap I'm simply posting these two photos (courtesy of tangerine_dream on MTF):

And now, the real powah:

Peace out.

game on

Eheheheh. This feels good.

Andy Murray, the universally acknowledged favourite of this AO and the best thing to happen to tennis since the introduction of hawk-eye challenge, kicked out in the 4th round. By Fernando Verdasco. With a breadstick.

Take that, BBC. MWAHAHAHAHA Yes, I'm mature.

On the other hand, I get a feeling that Verdasco is on his way to become this year's surprise finalist.

On the other hand, what's up with all the withdrawals today? Three matches were not finished.

And last but not the least, Monfils and Simon really took it a bit too far in their post-match greeting. Nole hugs his opponents whether they want it or not, but kissing? Get a room, fellas.

kissage under the cut )

That was a good cause to procrastinate a liitle. :)
